The arch form dates from the earliest beginnings of man’s ability to create architecture. I believe that on a more primitive, psychological level this form is so deeply embedded in our psyche as it was the form of our species first abodes… that of caves. The form itself seems to speak to very primordial instincts; that of safety, security nurture and enclosure. It is a form that has, apparently subconsciously, attracted me from my very earliest interest in photography.
