I first visited Greece when I was in my early 20s and felt as if I was at home. That feeling has never left. I traveled to Greece for a month every year for 20 years and wherever I went I was always drawn to photographing the ruins of ancient Greece. Many of those photographs are in my book Greece, Land of Light. The process is ongoing; I will be traveling to Sicily this fall to complete my coverage of all of the ancient Greek ruins all over the Mediterranean. This gallery focuses not only on the ancient ruins but on the sculpture and incredible pottery of that era.
