Although Stonehenge was not the 1st amazing ruins on the planet that I had visited, it was a place that was very high on my list of the great ruins of the ancient worlds. It was the 1st place that I asked for and received the amazing privilege of gaining access to the ruins 24/7 and was there the night of the full moon immediately preceding the summer solstice in 1975. I returned to continue my photography for the following two years. The results of that effort are to be seen in The Enigma of Stonehenge, with text by John Fowles, still one of my favorite authors.
